Police: 1 hospitalized, 2 detained after victim shot at Fort Lauderdale bar

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Fort Lauderdale police are investigating a shooting that they said occurred early Monday morning at a bar along State Road 84.

Officers responded to Lounge 8IV Bar & Grill, located at 1000 Marina Mile Blvd., just before 4 a.m. and found multiple vehicles involved with the alleged shooting, along with two suspects who were detained at the scene, police said.

No victims were initially located, but officers said they found evidence suggesting someone had been hit by gunfire.

A short time later, police said a victim arrived at a hospital in Tamarac with injuries that were non life-threatening.

Authorities said an investigation remains ongoing and no further details about the shooting were immediately released.
