According to a BSO arrest report, the incident happened Saturday in the 1200 block of Northwest 43rd Street.

The victim told investigators that he turned left on Northwest 43rd Street from 10th Terrace as the road was closed past that intersection, the report states.

Deputies said Waller also turned around in the intersection after realizing she couldn’t make a left onto Northwest 10th Terrace.

According to the report, Waller began “chasing” the man after he made the left turn and “ultimately passed him in the oncoming lane of traffic, swerved over in front of him, and slammed on her brakes.”

Deputies said the man “had to hit his brakes very hard to avoid a collision, but slight contact was still made between both vehicles.”

According to the report, he told investigators that “Waller exited her vehicle and began yelling at him.”

“He exited his vehicle to ask what happened to Waller that made her so mad to chase him and cut him off,” BSO Detective Shane Fairbanks wrote in the report. “While the two were beginning to have a conversation about what happened, Waller retrieved a black pocketknife from her vehicle, opened it, and swung it at (the man). (He) claimed he ran away and began screaming for someone to call 911. (He) was able to take a picture of Waller’s license plate before she got back in her car and fled the scene.”

The report states that deputies were eventually able to reach Waller by phone and she made a confession, all of which was redacted from the document.

As of Thursday evening, Waller was being held in the BSO Main Jail and was set to be released on a $7,500 bond.
