Adrian Corrales and the other teen agreed to settle a conflict with a fistfight on Saturday near Northwest Seventh Street and 79 Avenue, but Corrales had other plans, according to an arrest report.
Detectives reported finding surveillance video showing Corrales brought a gun to the fight. He fired three times wounding the teen in the chest and left leg, according to the deputies’ report.
The teenage boy’s friends drove him to Jackson West Medical Center where he was transferred to the Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center where he was in stable condition, according to deputies.
Correctional officers booked Corrales on Tuesday at the Miami-Dade County Juvenile Services Department’s assessment center. He is facing charges of second-degree attempted murder with a deadly weapon and possession of a firearm by a minor.
Deputies asked anyone with information about this or other cases to call Crime Stoppers at 305-471-8477 to remain anonymous.
