WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – A man remains behind bars following the shooting of two teenagers earlier this month.
Currently sitting inside the Broward County Jail is 33-year-old Kurt Cranston. He been charged with two counts of attempted murder after shooting two teens on Thursday.
Lauderhill investigators released video of Cranston firing off a dozen rounds in the 2000 block of Northwest 43rd Terrace.
A 16-year-old and a 17-year-old were both shot and taken to an area hospital.
According to Cranston’s family, however, video from the day of that incident chronicled a number of instances where those teens allegedly intimidated and threatened the life of Cranston.
Members of his family told Local 10 News that the teens have fired shots at Cranston, something he reported multiple times to police.
They explained that Cranston was in fear for his life and the life of his infant and one-year-old.
This is something Cranston also told investigators.
He appeared in Bond court and is being held without bond.
The two teens are expected to make a full recovery.
