MIAMI — Police in Miami-Dade County are conducting a fatal stabbing investigation.
Authorities said the incident occurred approximately 2:15 a.m. Sunday on the 34th floor of the Icon Brickell building located along the 400 block of Brickell Avenue in Miami.

The building also houses a hotel, but police said the stabbing occurred inside the residence area.
According to police, surveillance footage captured the suspect running away from the building and going across the street.
Police later said the suspect was found dead inside a building under construction across from the condo building where the stabbing occurred.
Both drones and K9s were being used to search the building where the suspect was found.
An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the stabbing and the suspect’s death remains open and ongoing.
Police said there was some kind of party or get together happening inside the unit where the stabbing occurred, but it’s unclear if the suspect and victim knew each other prior to the incident.
