Wilson Muñoz Suarez, 60, was originally arrested in March, while Manuel Lazzaro, 58, was first arrested in April. The new cases involve alleged procedures performed before those initial arrests.

Muñoz is now facing three additional counts of practicing medicine without a license and Lazzaro is facing new counts of practicing medicine without a license and unlicensed health provider causing injury.

The Venezuelan nationals were accused of performing procedures at the same Miami clinic: New World Medical & Mystic Cosmetic Surgery at 2020 SW First St. in the city’s Little Havana neighborhood.

The Florida Department of Health issued an emergency suspension order on the surgical center’s license in May.

The suspension order states that both men were listed as surgical assistants.

Muñoz’s three new cases involve procedures performed on three additional patients at the Little Havana facility, authorities said.

In one case, they said Muñoz presented himself as a cosmetic surgeon to a woman working at a bank; she later scheduled a procedure after finding his Instagram page.

In another case, Muñoz “recommended” Lazzaro to a patient for a procedure, investigators with the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office said.

According to arrest reports, Lazzaro’s new cases involve procedures performed at two different surgery centers: New Face MD Surgery Centers at 14432 Biscayne Blvd. in North Miami Beach and G-NOUVA at 2475 NW 95th Ave. in Doral.

In one case, Lazzaro, already accused of performing a botched procedure that led a woman to lose her “entire nipple,” is accused of disfiguring another woman during a procedure at G-NOUVA.

While details about the type of procedure and disfigurement were redacted from the MDSO report, G-NOUVA, according to its website, specializes in various gynecological cosmetic procedures, including “vaginal rejuvenation” and “laser vaginal tightening.”

During a follow-up treatment where the woman expressed concerns about the “permanent disfigurement”, he “treated the victim by injected (sic) her scar with an unknown substance,” the report states.

G-NOUVA’s website made no reference to Lazzaro as of Wednesday and the doctor featured on its home page is licensed, according to public records.

After appearing in court Wednesday, both Muñoz and Lazzaro were ordered held on a $7,500 bond.
