Cassidy Richard Ingram, 32, was arrested June 6 and is charged with premeditated murder, robbery with a weapon, and criminal attempt to solicit.

According to an arrest report, the victim called 911 at 2:18 a.m. that morning to report that he had just been stabbed near the Twin Peaks restaurant in the 1800 block of Hollywood Boulevard.

Police said Ingram had attacked the victim and stabbed him in the abdomen, while trying to steal the victim’s Kenda K6 electric bike.

The victim then pulled out a gun from his backpack and shot at Ingram, authorities said.

According to the report, officers rendered aid to the victim before he was transported to a hospital.

The victim reportedly underwent surgery, but ultimately died from his injuries.

Police said Ingram ran from a responding officer and entered a closed business, but eventually got on his knees in the area of Harrison Street and South 20th Avenue, and put his hands up to surrender.

He was then taken into custody.

According to the arrest report, Ingram invoked his right to remain silent without an attorney present.

A man who identified himself as a good friend of Ingram’s told Local 10 News Tuesday that Ingram’s bike had actually been stolen by the victim and he was trying to get it back, adding that Ingram is a “good guy.”

Police have not confirmed those claims.

As of Tuesday, online jail records show Ingram was being held at the Broward County Main Jail without bond.
