FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. ā Family members of a Fort Lauderdale fatal shooting victim say an arrest has been made in the case.
It was back in late May when 19-year-old Myrah Zeigler was found by first responders at around 4:30 a.m. after reports of gunfire.
She was staying at an Airbnb when police said a party spiraled into chaos.
Rescue crews rushed Zeigler to a nearby hospital, where should would be pronounced dead.
Now, nearly seven weeks later, her family says they are ready to see their daughterās killer brought to justice.
āIām happy that they got him, but this still just donāt bring my child back,ā said Alicia Ford-Barron, Zeiglerās mother. āYou took a beautiful soul from me. You took my daughter, you took my first love. That was my first love. That was my twin.ā
Local 10 News has reached out to authorities for more information on how the arrest was made and when the suspect will be expected to make their first court appearance.
