According to an arrest report from the Miami Police Department, the incident occurred April 15 in the 5400 block of Northwest Fifth Court.
Police said the suspect, Abigail Caridad Uranga, 25, and the victim live in separate residences on the same property.
According to the report, on the date in question, the victim arrived home in her vehicle with her children – ages 4 and 9 – and found a car parked in her assigned spot.
Police said the woman honked her horn to get the attention of the driver and asked her to move her car.
But police said Uranga exited the parked car and began arguing with the victim, telling her she can park wherever she wants.
Police said the victim exited her vehicle and was punched in the face by Uranga.
According to the report, the two women began to fight, and Uranga’s mother came outside at one point and pulled the victim’s hair.
Police said a neighbor eventually separated the women, but Uranga went inside, grabbed two kitchen knives and then returned outside, chasing the victim around her car.
According to the report, Uranga then grabbed the victim’s youngest son and threatened to stab him.
Police said the victim pleaded with Uranga to let her son go, which she did.
The victim’s 9-year-old son witnessed the entire incident and corroborated his mother’s account of what had occurred, the report stated.
According to the report, after being taken into custody, Uranga denied ever being armed with a knife or touching the child.
She was arrested Thursday on charges of false imprisonment with a deadly weapon, child abuse without great bodily harm, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and battery.
As of Friday morning, she was being held at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center. Online jail records listed her bond as $18,500.
