Court records show Rakesh Jagdish Jhaveri, 30, now faces two counts of possession of child pornography.

The records state that between July 26, 2025 and Nov. 11, 2025, Jhaveri was at some point in possession of child pornography.

A representative from the Broward County State Attorney’s Office confirmed to Local 10 Wednesday that Jhaveri is being held at the Broward County Main Jail on a $30,000 bond.

If he posts bond, he will be outfitted with a GPS monitor. He has also been ordered to not have any contact with the victim or any other minors other than his own relatives.

Jhaveri was initially arrested last November on 10 counts of lewd and lascivious battery on a victim between the ages of 12 and 16.

Pembroke Pines police said Jhaveri sexually abused a 15-year-old girl over a two-year period.

According to police, Jhaveri, of Sunrise, owns Music Legacies, located at 6941 SW 196th Ave., in Bergeron Plaza.

Investigators said that between 2023 and 2025, Jhaveri “leveraged his position as a trusted adult and began a sexual relationship with a minor.”

They said while the girl was supposed to be receiving private music lessons, Jhavari “engaged in illegal sexual conduct on numerous occasions” and admitted to having sex with her between five and 10 times.

An arrest report states that Jhaveri and the victim are family friends and they first met when she was 8 years old.

Police said the victim claimed she kissed Jhaveri for the first time in October 2023, and said their relationship became sexual a few months later. They said most of the pair’s inappropriate relations occurred at Jhaveri’s business when he was supposed to be giving her music lessons.

Jhaveri bonded out of jail Wednesday afternoon, and spoke to Local 10 News.

“I’ve loved all of my students,” he said.
