The issue of whether a homeowners association that permits a violation of its restrictive covenants is liable in damages in tort was addressed by the Fourth District Court of Appeals in the recent case of Seminole Lakes HOA v. Esnard, Case No 4D18-15 (Florida 4th DCA Dec. 19, 2018). In this case, the association was faced with a severe parking problem and therefore permitted on-street parking, despite restrictive covenants prohibiting this activity. The relevant municipal code prohibited on-street parking that interferes with the flow of traffic. From Bobsleds to Blades Jamaican Mens Olympic Ice Hockey Federation at AmeriGol Latam Cup 2019, Coral SpringsCORAL SPRINGS For the first time in Jamaicas history, the country will have a Senior Mens ice hockey team to compete for the AmeriGol-Latam Cup in Coral Springs September 6-8 2019. Much like their bobsledding partners, Jamaican ice hockey players prove to be very popular with spectators in every arena they play in! The Jamaican Olympic Ice Hockey Federation, based in Colorado is supported by a number of notable hockey and sporting figures including Graeme Townshend, the first Jamaican born national hockey league player and long-time Jamaican Olympic sporting figure, Don Anderson. Some of the young men from the under 20 team will make up the roster of the mens team travelling to Florida. The Jamaican Olympic Ice Hockey Federation wants Jamaicans and hockey fans from all over south Florida to come out and cheer on your team in their first ever international tournament.
