FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Teachers in Broward County have voted overwhelmingly to keep their union.
The long-awaited election to certify the Broward Teachers Union was held Monday in Fort Lauderdale.
The vote came after a 2023 law raised the standards for public employees to unionize in Florida.
Last October, Miami-Dade teachers similarly voted in favor of keeping their union under the same law.
