MIAMI — Troopers with the Florida Highway Patrol are seeking a suspected gunman after they said shots were fired during a “road rage incident” on the Palmetto Expressway Thursday afternoon.
According to FHP spokesperson Lt. Alex Camacho, it happened just after 2 p.m. on the expressway, in the area of Flagler Street in Miami.
Upon arrival, Camacho said troopers observed a black Cadillac sedan with a gunshot hole in the rear window.
He said the driver was not struck by the gunshots.
Authorities confirmed that the road rage incident began near Southwest 24th Street, which led to the gunman firing at least one round at the victim.
They described the suspected vehicle as a white Dodge truck that was operated by a white male.
No other details about the shooting or road rage incident were immediately released.
Anyone with information is urged to contact Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-8477.
