LAUDERDALE-BY-THE-SEA, Fla. — A man with a history of arrests for exposing himself in South Florida is in trouble again for the same crime, authorities say.
Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested John Armando Posse, 56, of Pembroke Pines, on Thursday after they said he exposed himself to two victims at a condominium pool in Lauderdale-by-the-Sea in May.
According to an arrest report, the incident happened on May 16 at the Winter Colony Co-Op Apartments at 4300 El Mar Drive.
“The defendant first asked the victims if they cared about his thong bikini, but then pulled the bikini to the side, completely exposing his sexual organs,” BSO Deputy Benya Koos wrote in the report. “The defendant then immediately left the area.”
The two were “offended” by his action, deputies said.
Authorities said CCTV footage from the incident and a “similar suspicious incident in Fort Lauderdale” on June 7 tied Posse to the case.
“Video images were obtained in both incidents that show it being the same person and vehicle,” Koos wrote.
One of the victims in the Lauderdale-by-the-Sea incident also picked Posse out of a photo lineup, according to BSO.
Court records show at least two past arrests for indecent exposure in Miami-Dade County, including a conviction stemming from a July 10, 2010 arrest by Surfside police. He also received withheld adjudication after an Oct. 17, 2006 indecent exposure arrest in Golden Beach.
Details on that case weren’t immediately available, though he was ultimately sentenced to probation.
A judge found probable cause Friday to charge Posse with two felony counts of indecent exposure on a second or subsequent offense and ordered he be held on a $10,000 bond.
BSO jail records show he was released from custody early Saturday morning.
