BSO: 30-year-old woman found safe after ‘suspicious’ disappearance

Authorities locate 30-year-old woman after she was reported missing in Broward County

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — The Broward Sheriff’s Office have safely located a 30-year-old woman who was reported missing after detectives said the circumstances surrounding her disappearance was deemed “suspicious.”

According to BSO, Summer Leo has been found safe after she was reported missing Sunday evening.

Investigators said Summer, her husband, and their three children were visiting South Florida from Dallas, Texas, and staying in Pompano Beach.

Authorities said she last seen leaving Target at 3200 North Federal Highway in Fort Lauderdale shortly before 7 p.m.

Codd said Leo was later seen entering 39-year-old Timothy Bowman’s white BMW M340i with Florida tag AH34SK.

Deputies with the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office said they located Leo with Bowman near the 12900 block of South U.S. 301 in Riverview on Tuesday.

They said Bowman was later detained for questioning and the investigation into Leo’s disappearance is “ongoing.”

Detectives have not said what the relationship between Leo and Bowman might be.
