Deputies working to solve 28-year-old man’s death need public’s help

HIT-AND-RUN The Broward County Sheriff's Office deputies investigating a fatal hit-and-run crash released this image of a pickup truck on Thursday and asked the public for information.

BROWARD COUNTY, Fla. — Paramedics pronounced Wesley Moimeme dead after a driver struck and killed him, according to Broward County Sheriff’s Office deputies who released an image of a pickup truck on Thursday.

Moimeme, 28, who had lived in Pompano Beach, “appeared to be standing in the roadway” before the fatal impact early Tuesday morning, according to deputies, according to BSO deputies.

The silver or gray full-size truck struck Moimeme along the southbound lanes of Powerline Road, north of Northwest Sixth Street, and drove away, according to BSO deputies.
