MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. — Lobster mini season begins Wednesday at midnight and preparation is key if you plan on diving in.
For some, the 48-hour period is the highlight of the year.

Boaters and divers are set to head out, ready to jump into the warm South Florida waters and get up close and personal with the spiny creatures.
Safety is always paramount, and there will be plenty of U.S. Coast Guard officials standing by, making sure the boating best practices are at the forefront.
