NORTH BEACH, Fla. — Human trafficking investigators responded to an online ad, and a Miami Beach undercover officer met a sex worker on Tuesday night in the North Beach neighborhood, records show.

The undercover officer identified Johan Canales, Tina Bayolo, and Gloria Garcia as suspects involved in prostitution at the Seaside All Suites Hotel, at 7500 Collins Ave., records show.

Garcia, 30, offered the undercover officer sex with her for $200, and sex with her and Bayolo, 37, for $400, while Canales, 42, who had rented the hotel room on the first floor, was in the courtyard, according to a detective’s related arrest reports.

Miami Beach police officers reported finding crystal meth in a baggie, a box, a tray, and a pipe inside the hotel room where the trio was engaging in prostitution, according to the arrest reports.

Miami-Dade correctional deputies booked Bayolo and Garcia early Wednesday morning at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center on prostitution charges.

Inmate records show Bayolo faced a charge of possession of drugs without a prescription, and Garcia faced charges of possession of a controlled substance and meth trafficking.

Miami-Dade County court records show Garcia already had a pending Coral Gables Police Department case after her arrest on July 15 for possession of a controlled substance and three counts of possession of drug paraphernalia.

On Wednesday afternoon, Miami-Dade prosecutors filed a case against Canales, who had an arrest history for aggravated assault. He faced charges of possession of a controlled substance and renting a space for prostitution. His bond was $1,500.
