HOLLYWOOD, Fla. — An injured victim turned the tables on his attacker Tuesday night after he was stabbed in Hollywood, fighting off and disarming the man.
Hollywood police say the victim, who is deaf and communicated with them through sign language, was attacked around 7 p.m. inside his apartment in the 1700 block of Cleveland Street.
His partner told Local 10 News that their neighbor, Daziderio Talley, 31, banged on their door and then came at the victim with a knife.

The victim was slashed in the head, but managed to fight back and disarm the attacker, she said.
“To the best of his ability, (he) defended himself,” the victim’s partner, Karizma Acosta, said. “There had been multiple issues with this neighbor. You know, he has come to the balcony screaming for no reason, but it’s always an issue seeing this guy. He’s always saying something snide and it’s just about avoiding the problem.”
Police later found the suspect near a Wawa on Federal Highway.
Hollywood police spokeswoman Deanna Bettineschi said Hollywood Fire Rescue personnel treated both the victim and suspect for their injuries.
Talley was arrested on a charge of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.
As of Wednesday morning, he was being held at the Broward Main Jail without bond.
