South Florida air conditioning company donates brand-new unit to woman in desperate need

DEERFIELD BEACH, Fla. — Thursday was a very special day for a woman in Deerfield Beach.

Alejandra Riano has been living without a functioning air conditioning in her home, and now she’s getting a brand new one donated and installed.

“My goodness, I get a new AC in my house,” she said. “I’m so excited, it’s so hot and I live by myself so I need it.”

Riano has been without air conditioning for the last two weeks in this summer heat.

She tried different ways to keep her home cool because her AC was inoperable.

When she called different companies to swap the old unit out she had at home, she learned it was pretty pricey to replace.

“$5,000-$6,000, everybody charges around that,” Riano said.

Her daughter called Snyder Air Conditioning and after hearing her story, they decided to donate a brand-new AC unit.

This is the second time the company has donated a new AC, but they’re not stopping there.

Snyder Air Conditioning is involved in the community in more ways than one, donating items from air conditioners to backpacks across Broward County.
