Just before 1:30 a.m., Hollywood police said officers were called to the 1200 block of Hollywood Boulevard about reports of a shooting.

“I was watching TV, trying to fall asleep and I heard like five shots, very faded, like it was the area behind my house,” said Camren Sardelli, who lives nearby.

Upon arrival, police said they found one person with a gunshot wound. That individual was taken to Memorial Regional Hospital and is currently in stable condition.

Ring camera footage from a nearby residence shows an armed man outside of a home as officers are heard telling him to put down his gun.

Police then closed off a large portion of the neighborhood as they surrounded the residence.

Hollywood resident Will Castillo said he arrived home around 1 a.m. after a night out to find police surrounding his parents’ home.

Officers were already at the scene, blocking the street and warning neighbors to stay indoors.

As of early Friday afternoon, Hollywood police detectives remained at the scene investigating.

As investigators cleared the scene later in the day, a Local 10 News crew spotted blood stains and bullets holes on the front porch of the home.

No arrests have been made at this time, and police have not released additional details about the armed man or the circumstances leading to the shooting.

Police said no arrests have been made, but that there is no threat at this time to the community.
