According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, airport operations personnel reported a suspicious man standing outside a dark-colored vehicle around 7:10 a.m.

Deputies arrived to find the individual, later identified as Michael Rodrigues, 41, getting dressed outside the car.

While attempting to retrieve the rental agreement from the glove compartment, deputies said they found a fully loaded AR-15 magazine. A subsequent search uncovered a loaded AR-15 rifle and several knives hidden under a blanket on the seat, according to investigators.

They said Rodrigues was taken into custody without incident.

Authorities said charges are pending and no other details about the suspect or incident were immediately released.
