MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. — Deputies with the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office asked for the public’s help Wednesday in identifying the driver who they said struck and killed a pedestrian Saturday night in a hit-and-run crash in northwest Miami-Dade.

The victim, 69-year-old Enrique De Moya, was crossing the intersection at Northwest 131st Street and Northwest Seventh Avenue around 11:15 p.m. when he was hit by a grey Toyota Tundra, according to investigators.

The truck, believed to be a 2014–2017 model, fled the scene without stopping to render aid or call for help, authorities said.

Deputies said De Moya was pronounced dead at the scene.

Detectives with the Traffic Homicide Bureau are asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash or has information about the suspected vehicle to call Miami-Dade Crime Stoppers at 305-471-8477.

Tipsters can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to $5,000.
