MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. — Fire crews rushed to a blaze at a Miami-Dade apartment building on Monday.
The building is located along the 11000 block of Southwest 196th Street.
According to officials, firefighters responded to reports of flames coming from a four-story building at approximately 7:47 p.m.
They arrived and found a fire inside one of the units and quickly began attacking the flames, according to Miami-Dade Fire Rescue.
At one point, the fire was upgraded to a second alarm, which prompted a response from additional units, authorities said.
Crews were eventually able to extinguish the fire.
One person was taken to an area hospital for treatment, officials said, but there was no word on the severity of that person’s injuries.
