Video shows 118 mph police pursuit in Key Largo: FHP

Jupiter man arrested in Key Largo after fleeing officers at high speeds

KEY LARGO, Fla. — Florida Highway Patrol troopers arrested a man after they said he fled from a Key Largo traffic stop at triple-digit speeds.

According to FHP, dash camera video shows Glenn Salts, 72, of Jupiter, driving at speeds up to 118 miles per hour while impaired, committing several felonies and traffic violations in the process.

A state trooper was able to stop the driver using a PIT maneuver, leading to his arrest, authorities said.

An arrest report states that Salts had three open beer cans in his car and he would later spit on a trooper.

Authorities charged Salts with several felony and misdemeanor charges, including a DUI, fleeing an officer, and destroying evidence.

He’s set to appear in court early next week.
