Pedro Jose Pena met the teenage girl earlier this year while picking up his son from Indian Trace Elementary, at 400 Indian Trace, in Weston, according to the Broward County Sheriff’s Office arrest report.

BSO deputies in Weston arrested Pena, of Davie, on Wednesday, and he was at the Broward County Main Jail in Fort Lauderdale, according to county inmate records.

Pena used Snapchat to prey on the teenage girl from Jan. 21 to Feb. 7, and the victim notified her mother and her supervisor at work before reporting him to BSO on Feb. 10, records show.

After an investigation, Pena faced two charges: Soliciting a child for unlawful sexual conduct using computer services or devices and harmful communication with a minor.
