Luisa Navarro was taken into custody by Miami police and is facing multiple felony charges, including burglary with assault or battery, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and violation of a pre-trial release order related to a previous domestic violence case involving the same victim, according to jail records.

According to an arrest report, the incident occurred on June 8 when Miami police officers responded to a domestic violence call at a Miami address.

Upon arrival, they met with the male victim, who reported that he had been sleeping in his vehicle when Navarro unexpectedly showed up and opened the car door.

The victim told police that Navarro, who appeared to be intoxicated, grabbed him by the shirt and pulled him out of the car before assaulting him, the report stated.

Police said he sustained visible injuries, including a small abrasion on the right side of his nose and a laceration to his lip.

The situation escalated further when Navarro allegedly armed herself with a pair of scissors and threatened to kill the victim and cut off his genitalia, accusing him of cheating on her with another woman, according to the report.

Authorities confirmed that the couple had been in a relationship for approximately ten years, but had separated in March 2025.

They said Navarro had previously been arrested in connection with another domestic violence incident involving the same victim, and a stay-away order issued on May 3 was still active at the time of the attack.

Police were able to identify Navarro after the victim provided a photograph on June 12, and a warrant was confirmed with the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities said Navarro was apprehended by MPD’s Domestic Violence Apprehension Team on Wednesday and was taken into custody.

During questioning, they said Navarro refused to make any statements or answer investigators’ questions.

As of Thursday, she was being held at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center, where her bond was listed as “to be set.”
