POMPANO BEACH, Fla. — The Broward Sheriff’s Office released surveillance video Friday that captured a drive-by shooting last week in Pompano Beach.
According to BSO spokeswoman Gerdy St. Louis, the shooting was reported around 3:30 a.m. on Aug. 6 near the 1300 block of Northwest 27th Avenue.
She said BSO Pompano Beach deputies responded to the scene and discovered that a barrage of bullets had been fired at a home in the area.
“Surveillance video of the incident shows a light-colored vehicle driving by the home,” St. Louis said in a news release. “A few seconds later, the car is seen reversing back into view. Two armed subjects are then seen exiting the vehicle and firing more than a dozen rounds into the home before fleeing the area.”
No injuries were reported and a motive for the shooting remains unclear.
Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call BSO Violent Crimes Det. Lisa Almanza-Londono at 754-333-0693 or submit a tip through the SaferWatch app.
