ISLAMORADA, Fla. — Bales of drugs washed up near the Square Grouper Marina in Islamorada Saturday afternoon.

Monroe County deputies said 25 kilos of suspected cocaine were discovered by a local charter boat captain in the area around 1 p.m. near 80460 Overseas Highway.

Deputies said the drugs are typically handed over to U.S. Border Patrol.

The investigation is ongoing.
