DANIA BEACH, Fla. — Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies conducted a death investigation Tuesday morning in Dania Beach after someone found a man’s body near a canal.
According to BSO, the agency received a call at around 8 a.m. reporting the body near Ocean Waterway Boulevard and Old Griffin Road.
A BSO spokesperson said the agency’s crime scene unit and homicide detectives were at the scene.
Authorities haven’t said whether they suspect foul play.
“It’s unbelievable if it’s a murder or something like that, if it’s a death or something,” nearby resident Joseph Sisto said. “It’s a very, very very quiet area.”
