WEST PARK, Fla. — A narcotics operation in West Park was shut down after Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies served a search warrant and uncovered drugs, guns and cash inside a home tied to violence and threats against law enforcement, authorities confirmed Tuesday.
Investigators said the bust happened Friday night at a home on the 5200 block of Southwest 22nd Street, where detectives had been investigating complaints of drug sales and violent activity for weeks.
Inside, deputies said they recovered more than 1,000 grams of cannabis, $5,200 in cash and seven firearms. Four vehicles were also impounded.
They said three men — Bruce Ceaser, 37, of West Park; Terrick Murray, 47, of West Park; and Santos Diaz, 25, of Miami — were taken into custody in connection with the bust.
Jail records show all three men are facing charges of possession with intent to distribute cannabis. Deputies said Ceaser also faces a charge of obstructing law enforcement during the search, and Diaz faces an additional count of possession of drug equipment.
The investigation began July 4, when deputies said they responded to reports of gunfire at the home.
Investigators said they arrived to find a large, hostile crowd, and investigators later confirmed that drugs were being sold at the property. They confirmed that an ongoing criminal activity created a “climate of fear in the surrounding neighborhood.”
The operation was led by the West Park District Crime Suppression Team with support from BSO’s Gang Investigations Unit, SWAT, K-9, Aviation, Drone Unit, V.I.P.E.R. team and other specialized units, authorities said.
The booking photos of all three suspects were not immediately available.
