Two children were killed and 17 people were injured after a gunman opened fire at a Minnesota Catholic school on Wednesday morning.
Among the injured were 14 children and three adults.
The shooter, identified as 23-year-old Robin Westman, is dead.
Wednesday night, Local 10 News spoke to Debbi Hixon, whose husband Chris was among the 17 people killed during the Parkland massacre at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in February of 2018.
“it changes who you are,” said Hixon. “We have AI now, we are able to scour the internet, because there is not one single time that a shooting has happened that someone didn’t post about it somewhere. And mental health is a big piece. There are all pieces of it, right? It’s not just one thing, but when we get stuck on the one thing and nobody does anything and we are still here talking about another shooting today.”
The full conversation with Hixon can be seen at the top of this page.
