DAVIE, Fla. — Two more people have been arrested in connection with a July attack in Davie that ended with a a woman being pistol-whipped and shot at, according to a new arrest report obtained by Local 10 News on Thursday.

Davie police identified the suspects as 19-year-olds Nawekin Nawlyn Rivas De Los Santos and Lyrick Garcia.

They said he was arrested Monday at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood and is facing one count of first-degree attempted murder with a firearm.

According to the report, Rivas De Los Santos admitted to knowing Valerie Lisette Gonzalez after meeting her at the beach about six weeks before the incident.

He told detectives that Gonzalez and asked him to help confront a woman who had been talking about her deceased boyfriend.

He said he was picked up before the altercation and saw (redacted) take a gun out from her bag, according to the report.

Once at the scene, deputies said he pushed (redacted) to the ground and struck her several times. He told police that as the victim got back up and walked away, Gonzalez fired a shot “at the ground” while sitting in the vehicle.

The arrests come after Gonzalez, 19, was arrested Wednesday on charges that include first-degree attempted murder, aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, and illegal discharge of a firearm, jail records show.

Police said she struck the victim with a gun, filmed parts of the attack on her cellphone, and later messaged the victim saying she “intended to kill” her.

Investigators said all three suspects went to the victim’s home on July 22, where the victim was punched, pistol-whipped and threatened with a firearm.

Afterward, police said Gonzalez allegedly fired a single shot before fleeing with Rivas De Los Santos and Garcia.

They said the victim was able to identify Gonzalez, who had previously been in juvenile detention with her and had been feuding with her on social media.

The Davie Police Department confirmed Thursday that arrest warrants were obtained for all three suspects, who were located and arrested with the help of the U.S. Marshals Service.

As of Thursday, all three remain held without bond at the Broward Main Jail on attempted murder charges with a deadly weapon.
