BAL HARBOUR, Fla. — A worker was airlifted to a hospital Thursday after suffering “traumatic” injuries at a construction site in Bal Harbour, first responders confirmed to Local 10 News.
The incident was reported in the 9800 block of Collins Avenue.
Local 10 received reports that a pipe exploded in the area, but authorities have not yet confirmed that information.
According to Miami-Dade Fire Rescue, fire crews had to rescue the victim from a “confined space” before assessing their injuries.
First responders confirmed that the victim was airlifted to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center.
No other details were immediately released.
