HOLLYWOOD, Fla. — Without a deal, the Memorial Healthcare System in Broward County was set to become an out-of-network provider for Florida Blue members starting early Monday morning.
Florida Blue, an insurance company with 31,000 members in Florida, released a statement “providing advance notice of the possibility that an agreement may not be reached.”
The Memorial Healthcare System released a statement saying, “Emergency care remains covered under federal law, even if we are out of network.
“Patients in an active course of treatment may be eligible for Continuity of Care benefits, which could allow you to continue treatment with your Memorial providers for a limited time.”
MHS asked Florida Blue members to call 954-276-5501 for more information about the status of negotiations.
