FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — After his arrest in Tennessee, a 19-year-old man appeared in Broward County court on Saturday to face charges in a fatal shooting at a children’s birthday party in Fort Lauderdale.

Andrew St. Louis appeared before Broward County Circuit Judge Hope Tieman Bristol for a bond court hearing in the case of the drive-by shooting that killed three-year-old Rylo Yancy.

“You have no bond hold set,” Bristol told St. Louis during his first court appearance.

St. Louis faced charges of first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder, and conspiracy to commit murder with a firearm related to the fatal drive-by shooting on July 21, 2024 at the Riverland Park.

St. Louis also had a case pending for operating a vehicle without a valid license, and a probation violation for unlawful carry of a concealed firearm, inmate records show.

Inmate records show Broward Sheriff’s Office correctional deputies booked St. Louis on Friday at the Broward County Main Jail in Fort Lauderdale.

Court records show Broward County Circuit Judge Andrew L. Siegel was set to preside over the capital homicide case, which prosecutors filed against St. Louis on Sept. 10.

Bristol set St. Louis’s bond for the criminal traffic case at $2,500, and told St. Louis that his next status hearing for the murder case was at 9 a.m. on Sept. 30.

Tommie Allen, 19, Antonio Carter, 20, and Tyler Hollins, 21, are also facing murder charges for the toddler’s murder.
