MONROE COUNTY, Fla. — A man was injured on Saturday during a shark encounter off the Florida Keys.

Monroe County dispatchers sent first responders to Boca Chica Key, according to scanner traffic.

Fire rescue’s air rescue south personnel flew him to the hospital, according to Miami-Dade Fire Rescue personnel.
