MIAMI — Travelers at the international airports in Fort Lauderdale and Miami experienced hundreds of delays and dozens of cancellations on Saturday.
Flight records showed there were more than 205 delays at FLL and more than 250 at MIA. There were also more than 30 cancellations at FLL and more than 35 at MIA.
Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy announced on Friday that the federal government shutdown’s impact on air traffic controllers was going to affect flights.
