POMPANO BEACH, Fla. — A parent at a Broward County elementary school was arrested on a felony charge for issuing a profane threat to the principal in front of her two children, according to court documents obtained by Local 10 News on Tuesday.
According to the Broward Sheriff’s Office, the incident happened on Friday at Charles Drew Elementary School, located at 1000 NW 31st Ave. in Pompano Beach.
A BSO arrest report states that Iesha Nicole Bell, 34, approached the school’s principal in a “hostile and aggressive manner” and was seen “flailing her arms, making a fist and yelling profanity at” her, all in front of her children.
“I’m going to f--- you up and everyone up,” Bell is accused of saying to the principal, who told deputies that the woman “invaded her personal space.”
Deputies said Bell had “also made threats earlier in the day to come up to the school and fight” the principal.
The report doesn’t state what Bell was allegedly upset about.
According to the arrest report, Bell resisted deputies’ efforts to arrest her on charges of assault on a school employee, contributing to the delinquency of a minor and disorderly conduct.
Bell was also on probation until 2040 after a conviction for accessory after the fact, stemming from a July 2019 shooting in Lauderhill where police said her boyfriend shot another man. They said she threw away the gun and initially lied to investigators and claimed she had shot the man in self-defense.
Bell’s arrest Friday triggered a probation violation, meaning she remained jailed without bond as of Tuesday.
