In Key West, traditional celebrations feature eye-catching “drops” — including the iconic Conch Shell Drop at Sloppy Joe’s and unique themed descents like the Red Shoe Drop — that draw crowds along Duval Street each Dec. 31.

Miami’s signature New Year’s Eve event at Bayfront Park will be highlighted by the 40th anniversary of the city’s famed Big Orange rising to the top of the InterContinental Miami at midnight.

Fort Lauderdale is also hosting its annual New Year’s Eve festivities, including the city’s signature Anchor Drop. At midnight, an 800-pound, 20-foot-tall anchor outfitted with more than 12,000 LED lights will be lowered from a crane in the heart of downtown.
