Police: 1 injured after stabbing in Fort Lauderdale

There was blood and police evidence markers on the walkway to a store after a man’s stabbing on Thursday in Fort Lauderdale.

Police officers reported finding a man injured shortly after 11:35 a.m. at the 2300 block of Northwest 19th Street.

“The victim was trauma alerted by Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue to Broward Health Medical Center for treatment,” Detective Kerri Hagerty, a spokeswoman for the Fort Lauderdale Police Department, wrote in a statement.

According to Hagerty, the police investigation was ongoing on Thursday afternoon.

Detectives asked anyone with information about this or other cases to call Broward County Crime Stoppers at 954-493-8477 to remain anonymous.
