The police officer reported Moss, 42, didn’t follow orders, started running, jumped a fence along Northwest 65 Street, near 17th Avenue, and a police dog found him in a backyard, according to the report.

“During apprehension, [Moss] sustained a dog bite to his left forearm,” a police officer wrote, according to the report, adding that Miami Fire Rescue personnel took Moss to Jackson Memorial Hospital.

Before his arrest, police officers reported Moss was in the driver’s seat of a white Ford truck that had been reported stolen hours earlier in Miami Shores.

Miami police officers arrested Moss shortly before 11:40 a.m. on Thursday at 1724 NW 66 St., and Miami-Dade County corrections booked him shortly after 6:05 p.m. on Thursday at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center, records show.

Moss faced a felony charge of grand theft auto and a misdemeanor charge of resisting arrest without violence. Miami-Dade County Circuit Judge Christine Hernandez was set to preside over the case.
