Broward detectives identify fatal hit-and-run victim

WEST PARK, Fla. — On Wednesday, Broward Sheriff’s Office detectives released the identity of a woman who died on Monday after a hit-and-run crash in West Park.

Mishell Laurine Warner died at Memorial Regional Hospital after deputies found her lying on the road at about 6:45 a.m. on Monday near Barry Road and Hallandale Beach Boulevard, according to BSO.

BSO traffic homicide detectives asked the public for help with finding the driver who was traveling eastbound on Hallandale Beach Boulevard when Warner, 61, “was not in a designated crosswalk” on Monday morning, according to deputies.

BSO Detective Jose Guzman asked anyone with information about the case to call 954-321-4888 or Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-8477 to remain anonymous. There is a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and prosecution on the case.
