FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. — A 36-year-old felon who was convicted in Miami-Dade County was back behind bars on Wednesday, but this time in Broward County, records showed.
Marvin Davis was at the Broward County Main Jail in Fort Lauderdale, facing four new charges, according to Broward Sheriff’s Office inmate records.

Police officers arrested Davis on Tuesday in Hollywood after a traffic stop near Hollywood Boulevard and State Road 7, according to the Hollywood Police Department.
Davis was driving with a suspended license, two firearms, and more than $7,000 in cash, according to police officers, who seized the weapons and the cash.
Davis faced two counts of possession of a weapon by a convicted felon, driving with a suspended license, and failure to use a designated lane, records showed.
Court records show Davis has a long criminal record in Miami-Dade County.
In 2008, Davis was arrested for cocaine possession. He was convicted and sentenced to probation. He also had convictions for marijuana possession in 2010 and 2011. And in 2014, Davis was convicted of child abuse and deriving support from the proceeds of prostitution.
In 2019, Davis was arrested for improper exhibition of a weapon or firearm and convicted in 2021 with credit for time served.
