DAVIE, Fla. — A teenage girl asked a friend for a ride in Davie, and a trio of aggressive armed robbers she knew from Homestead got inside the car, according to detectives.
The armed robbery was on Feb. 19 outside of a house along Southwest 57 Street, near South Pine Island Road, according to an arrest warrant.
Detectives identified the robbers as Aloni Bryant, also known as “M3;″ Charlie Blunt, also known as “Bra Bra;” and Jerome Brookin III, according to the warrant.
“One of the males in the back seat grabbed the seat belt and wrapped it around [the victim’s] neck, as the other male in the back seat began to punch him in the face,” a detective wrote, according to the warrant.
Brookin, 19, “had two black pistols and began to strike [the victim] in the face with them and pointed them at his head. The other two males also had firearms,” a detective wrote, according to the warrant.
The trio stole $1,000 through CashApp; an Hermes bracelet valued at $1,000; an iPhone valued at $1,100, Gucci sandals valued at $800; and the keys to his car, according to the warrant.
Records show Davie police officers arrested Brookin on April 14, Blunt, 36, on April 17, and Bryant, 19, on Wednesday, and corrections booked them at the Broward County Main Jail.
On Friday, corrections held the trio without bond. Blunt was at the Joseph V. Conte Facility, Brookin was at the North Broward Bureau, and Bryant remained at the main jail, according to inmate records.
The men are each facing a first-degree felony armed robbery charge, according to court records.
Broward County Circuit Judge Marina Garcia-Wood was set to preside over Blunt’s case. Circuit Judge Andrew Siegel was set to preside over Brookin’s case, and Judge Ernest Kollra was set to preside over Bryant’s case.
