NORTH MIAMI, Fla. — A 26-year-old man faced charges on Tuesday in Miami-Dade County after a 15-year-old boy accused him of sexually abusing him while recording a video of it in North Miami, records show.
Tyre Hudson, who was driving a silver 2020 Nissan Kick, “approached” the teen, who was walking along Northeast 137th Street at Seventh Avenue, near North Miami Middle School, according to a police report.
Hudson, who lives in Miami’s Little River neighborhood, “asked the victim if he smokes marijuana ... offered the victim a ride,” a North Miami police officer wrote, according to the arrest report.
The teen told a police officer that he answered in the affirmative to the question about marijuana, and got in the Nissan Kick after accepting the ride offer, according to the arrest report.
The teen reported that Hudson drove him to North Miami Senior High School and offered him $20-worth of marijuana if he could record a video of him in the restroom for X, according to the report.
Hudson “propped his cell phone on the sink and recorded the entire incident ... quickly grabbed his cellphone and attempted to flee,” a NM police officer wrote, according to the report.
The teen reported that he started to strike Hudson and defend himself after the sexual abuse was recorded on video, according to the police report.
“The witness saw the victim fighting with the defendant while the victim was screaming, ‘This man was just trying to rape me!’ The witness quickly approached and assisted the victim in detaining the defendant,” a police officer wrote, according to the report.
Police officers arrested Hudson at 8:15 p.m. on Monday at North Miami Senior High School, at 13110 NE 8 Ave., and seized his cell phone with the videos, according to the police arrest report.
Miami-Dade corrections booked Hudson shortly after 3:15 a.m. on Tuesday at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center, according to inmate records.
Hudson faced charges of lewd or lascivious molestation involving a victim aged 12 to 16 and attempted lewd or lascivious conduct offense involving a minor under 16 years old. His bond was $12,500.
Miami-Dade County Circuit Judge Lody Jean is set to preside over the case, according to court records.
