PEMBROKE PARK, Fla. — Ford Motor issued a recall impacting about 103,000 F-150 pickup trucks over safety problems with the axle hub bolts that keep the wheel hubs on the axle.
The issue could cause the truck to roll away even with the parking brake, according to the U.S. Department of Transportation’s National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
Ford or Lincoln dealers will be making the repairs free of charge.
The recall applies to trucks produced from Jan. 2, 2023, to May 21, 2025 and mail notifications should be available from Aug. 18 to May 22, 2026.
