A program that allows Prime members outside of a household share free shipping perks is coming to an end.

According to Amazon’s website, the “Prime Invitee” program will be eliminated on Oct. 1.

The company went on to say that customers can use Amazon Family instead. Amazon Family allows one other adult in a household and up to four teenagers (who were added before April, 7 2025) and up to four profiles for children.

Prime costs customers $14.99 a month or a payment of $139 a year.
