Bottles of bubbly at Costco are being recalled due to a risk of them shattering without being touched, according to a recall.

According to a letter issued to customers, the wholesaler has issued a recall for its Kirkland Signature Prosecco Valdobbiadene because unopened bottles may shatter, even when not handled or in use.

Customers who have purchased the prosecco, sold between April 25, 2025, and Aug. 26, 2025, in Illinois, Kentucky, Iowa, Michigan, Missouri, Nebraska, Minnesota, Ohio, South Dakota and Wisconsin are encouraged to wrap them in paper towel and throw them away.
