Voters across Miami-Dade and Monroe counties will have their say on Tuesday as municipal elections take place in various cities, including Miami, Miami Beach, Hialeah, Homestead, Surfside and Marathon.
What’s up for vote?
In Miami, the election covers the mayor’s office and City Commission seats for Districts 3 and 5. In addition, there are four charter-amendment questions on the ballot.
Voters in Miami Beach will also be selecting their choice for mayor, along with commissioners for Groups I, II and III.
In Hialeah, the election will cover the mayor’s office and councilmember seats for Groups III, IV, VI and VII.
In Homestead, the election will cover the vice mayor’s office, along with councilmember seats for Seat 1 and Seat 5. Voters will also be deciding on four referendums.
In Surfside, there are also four referendums on the ballot.
And in Marathon, voters can select up to three choices for City Council.
When and where to vote
Polling places will be open on Election Day from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Residents should confirm their polling location, bring a valid photo ID containing signature, and ensure they are at their assigned precinct.
